Charles F. Emmons is Professor of Sociology, Ph.D. from University of Illinois, Chicago. His main areas of teaching and research are sociology of science and religion, and mass media of communication. His courses in CIMS are SOC 204 (The Sociology of Mass Media and Popular Culture) and SOC 102 (Introductory Sociology with special focus on film). He also spent 26 years with WZBT, the College radio station.
