Students on immersion trip to NepalGettysburg College students traveled to Nepal over winter break with Religious Studies Prof. Megan Sijapati for a 12-day trip focusing on issues of sustainability and globalization in Nepal’s food systems. On this CPS immersion trip, students stayed with local families and met with entrepreneurs, NGOs, activists, business leaders, and farmers in the Kathmandu valley and the Annapurna area. Students also toured some of the Kathmandu valley’s oldest Buddhist and Hindu religious and cultural sites.
