The 7th annual Patriotic Pops concert and fireworks will take place Thursday, July 4, from 6-10 p.m. at Memorial Field. Admission and on-campus parking are free to the public.
The event will kick off with an opening set by classic rock and cover band The Willys at 6:30, followed by a Gala Pops Orchestra Concert performance at 8:30. Fireworks, sponsored by Destination Gettysburg, will begin at approximately 9:30.
Guests are invited to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets to sit on.
While picnics are welcome, food and beverages will be available to purchase from Gettysburg College Dining Services and a variety of other local vendors including: Battlefield Brew Works, Big Hill Winery and Ciderworks, Bricker’s French Fries, Halbrendt Winery, Kona Ice, Mount Hope Winery, Put on the Feedbag Catering, Steinour’s Kettle Corn, Sundown Concessions, Thirsty Farmer Brew Works and Uncle Moe’s Soul Food.
In the case of inclement weather, a rain call will be made by 2:00 p.m. on July 4, and the event will be rescheduled for Friday, July 5.
