Servo Thanksgiving

Across generations of Gettysburgians, our annual Servo Thanksgiving holiday tradition continues to evoke memories of good food and good friends.

“One of my favorite memories! I’ve worked in higher ed for 40 years and never heard of another campus that did this...G’burg you are one of a kind!.”
Jacinta Felice ’81 | Facebook

“I was just telling my kids about how much we loved the Gettysburg Thanksgiving turkey dinner!!! Glad to hear the College is still doing it—and that students still call it ‘Servo.”
JCarolyn Hall Finlay ’95 | Facebook

“I loved serving this dinner all the years I worked at the College. The students have so much fun. A special thank you to everyone who prepped and cooked and cleaned up! ”

Stine Hall Renovations

The recent renovation to Stine Hall over the past few months conjured memories from alumni about living and learning at Gettysburg.

“While the education Gettysburg provides is second to none, upgraded dorm space is essential to win the battle to admit students. Can’t wait to show this new space to the prospective Class of 2030!!”

Ask a Professor

Four stars, five stars…what should you rate your Uber driver?

Last fall, in our new “Ask a Professor” social series, Management Prof. Alice Brawley Newlin explained the impact of Uber ratings in the gig economy, a topic she’s studied as part of her research. The video featuring Brawley Newlin garnered more than 200,000 views across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.

Gettysburg Railway Debut

Last summer, our community celebrated the ribbon cutting of Gettysburg’s newest attraction. The Gettysburg Railway is a historic train experience that offers students and visitors a unique way to connect with the place we call home.

“Tripped over those tracks many times on the way from campus to the square—so happy to see they’re being put to use!”

“Trains today? YES!”

Congratulations to our most recent alumni engagement winners!

For the past six months, these alumni have helped bring the Gettysburg community to life online—sharing our stories, supporting one another, and creating connections that matter. We’re grateful for their pride and commitment.
