Eligibility Requirements: 2.5 GPA; Previous college-level coursework or other significant preparation in sociology, political science, economics, or development studies; Three recent semesters of college-level Spanish and ability to follow coursework in Spanish
Full-time Course Load: 16 credits
Program Dates: Late August through mid-December or late February through mid-June.
Mandatory Coursework: Spanish for Soc. Sci. and Dev. (3 credits), Transnationalism and Reg. Processes in the Southern Cone (3 credits), Development and Social Change (3 credits), Research Methods and Ethics (3 credits), and Independent Study Project OR Internship (4 credits).
Gettysburg Pre-requisites: Spanish majors/minors or students intending to major or minor in Spanish must have completed Spanish 301; All students must meet with the program representative in the Spanish Department, Professor Alvaro Kaempfer, prior to applying.
Living Arrangements: Home Stays
