Musselman Hall

Musselman Hall

Named for Emma G. Musselman, Musselman Hall first opened in 1958 as a dormitory for women. Musselman Hall is a traditional residence hall that consists of four floors and 80 rooms. Each room typically houses two students, with male and female bathrooms on each floor. All bathrooms in Musselman Hall accommodate more than one person at a time and are single gender (male or female).

Each student is provided with an extra-long bed (39 inches x 80 inches x 6 1/2 inches), a desk and chair; a dresser and closet space. The beds have three notches on each bed end to adjust the height of the bed. The first notch is approximately 13 inches off the floor; the second (middle) notch is approximately 18 inches off the floor; the third notch is approximately 23 inches off the floor. Students may also loft or bunk their beds by acquiring the additional pieces necessary to do so. Lofting the bed allows for furniture such as the dresser, desk, and desk chair to slide underneath the bed. The additional pieces to loft/bunk your bed will be available in your building common space during the first several weeks of the fall semester. During the rest of the year, the pieces can be requested by submitting a Facilities Helpdesk request.
