West Hall

West Hall is part of the quarry suites complex, one of 11 apartment-style residence halls for upperclass students, is located on the northwest side of campus. The complex consists of four buildings, Hazlett Hall, Haaland Hall, West Hall, and Corkran Hall.

Each apartment in West Hall has a kitchenette (includes a full-size refrigerator, sink, microwave and cabinet space for storage) which is not equipped with dinnerware and cookware.  There are three stools around the end of the kitchen counter-top for a dining area.  A common kitchen with a stove and oven is located on the first floor of the building.

Each apartment has its own bathroom which includes a separate shower area, a toilet area with a sink and mirror and a third area with a larger vanity and mirror.  Each bathroom accommodates one person at a time, therefore each bathroom is gender-neutral.

Each bedroom is carpeted, has built-in closet space, and has one window with a blind. Each student is furnished with an extra-long bed (39 inches x 80 inches x 6 1/2 inches), a desk with chair; a dresser and closet space.

Bed frames are adjustable and can be set by the student to one of three height options:

• Lowest setting (1st notch): 13 inches of clearance between the floor and the bottom of the bed
• Middle setting (2nd notch): Approximately 18 inches of clearance
• Highest setting (3rd notch): 23 inches of clearance

Students may also choose to have their beds lofted or bunked. Lofted beds allow furniture such as the desk, chair, and dresser to fit underneath. Requests to  loft or bunk your bed must be submitted via a Facilities work order request to Facilities Services.

The living room is carpeted and the furniture generally consists of a 3-person sofa, one chair, a coffee table and an end table.  Each living room also has one window with a blind.
