Hutchison House
Hutchison House, named in memory of Sara Morrow Hutchison, '44, is a 2-story house that has a capacity of 11 students and includes a full kitchen on the first floor. There are two bathrooms in this facility that accommodate one person at a time and are gender-neutral.
The first floor has one double bedroom and three single bedrooms and the second floor has two doubles and two singles.
Each student is furnished with an extra-long bed (39 inches x 80 inches x 6 1/2 inches), a desk with chair; a dresser and closet space.
Bed frames are adjustable and can be set by the student to one of three height options:
- Lowest setting (1st notch): 13 inches of clearance between the floor and the bottom of the bed
- Middle setting (2nd notch): Approximately 18 inches of clearance
- Highest setting (3rd notch): 23 inches of clearance
Students may also choose to have their beds lofted or bunked. Lofted beds allow furniture such as the desk, chair, and dresser to fit underneath. Requests to loft or bunk your bed must be submitted via a Facilities work order request to Facilities Services.
