Academic Focus
Health disparities
As a social epidemiologist, my research interests involve investigating underlying mechanisms for racial/ethnic and socioeconomic disparities in health. I explore how neighborhood, environment, experiences of discrimination, and interaction with the health care system influence health and health behaviors. Most recently I have been involved in community-based participatory research aimed at community interventions to combat food insecurity in the Adams County, PA area.
