We are so pleased you will be joining us for the launch of We, Here, Now: The Campaign for Gettysburg College.
Here are a few important details to consider as you prepare for this milestone event.
Attire
The recommended dress for this event is cocktail attire.
Event Location and details
The event will take place in the College Union Building (CUB) beginning with a reception at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m.
Please enter the CUB through the Lincoln Avenue entrance. Other entrances, including the Bullet Hole entrances, will be closed to accommodate the event.
Registration will take place just inside the Lincoln Avenue entrance in the CUB lobby. Signs and College staff will guide you once you reach the CUB.
Following dinner, the program will continue outside the CUB on Lincoln Avenue with Desserts & Drones, an all-campus celebration that will feature sweet treats and Gettysburg College’s first-ever drone show. You won’t want to miss this special ending to the evening.
Parking
NOTE: LINCOLN AVENUE WILL BE CLOSED FROM COLLEGE AVENUE TO CONSTITUTION AVENUE BEGINNING AT 7 AM ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 17.
We encourage all guests to park in the Constitution Lot (please see map). If this lot is full, the Central Energy Plant (CEP) Parking Lot will be available for overflow parking. There may be parking available in the Musselman Stadium lots as well.
Parking Lot Shuttles and Golf Carts
The College will provide a shuttle bus to transport guests who may not wish to walk from the Constitution, CEP, or Masters parking lots. Look for the shuttle stop signs in each lot and wait at any of the stops for pick-up. Shuttles will run between the three parking lots and the CUB beginning at 5 p.m. and operate until 6:30 p.m. Shuttle service will resume picking up guests at the CUB at 9 p.m. and operate until 10:30 p.m. For guests with special accommodation needs, we will offer golf carts to pick you up at your vehicle and drop you off at the CUB. If you require golf cart service, please utilize the phone number below to call for the next available golf cart.
Accessible Parking Spaces
We are reserving extra accessible parking spaces in the Masters Lot (see map). There will also be a small number of spaces reserved on Lincoln Avenue in front of Stine Hall, near the corner of College Avenue and West Lincoln Avenue. All parking spaces are available on a first-come first served basis.
Golf Cart Pickup Service
If you need a golf cart to transport you from your vehicle to the CUB, please call the following number to request a golf cart pickup: 717-337-7986. Please indicate that you need a golf cart pickup and where you are located, so that the driver can find you.
