Killed at Gettysburg
A partnership between the Civil War Institute and Gettysburg National Military Park, Killed at Gettysburg tells the stories of the men who gave the last full measure of devotion at the Battle of Gettysburg. Profiles are researched and written by Gettysburg College students and partners.
This series of short interpretive videos on the Gettysburg battlefield provides insight into the often little-known or hidden histories of various locations across the field. These micro-level interpretative programs are researched, presented, and produced by students in the CWI Fellows Program.
LEGACY PROJECTS
The Gettysburg Compiler
The Gettysburg Compiler was most active from 2012-2023. Written and edited by students and staff of the Civil War Institute, it has served as a virtual bridge between our students and the public.
State of the Confederacy Mapping Project
State of The Confederacy uses GIS (geographic information software) to create and interpret data about Confederate monuments in the states of the former Confederacy. The project was created and published through the Musselman Library’s Digital Scholarship Office and the Civil War Institute.
