What is the Bloomberg Terminal Lab at Gettysburg College?

Gettysburg College is committed to providing top resources for our students to succeed in and out of the classroom and throughout their careers, including access to a new Bloomberg Terminal Lab this fall for students interested in majoring in finance.

With our new finance major, Gettysburg College is establishing a 24/7 Bloomberg Terminal Lab that will be located in our College Union Building above the Bullet Hole. It will be ready for use in the Fall 2025 semester, during which students can declare as the first cohort of finance majors.

This terminal will allow our students to gain essential technical skills, like mastering finance functions in Excel, and earn the required certifications to enter the finance industry. This powerful software system provides real-time financial data, news, and analytics, and is widely used by financial professionals for trading, research, and analysis.

“Success in landing internships and jobs in finance is based on being able to differentiate yourself from the other qualified candidates,” said Economics Prof. Brendan Cushing-Daniels, co-chair of the finance program. “Demonstrating increasing proficiency with the Bloomberg technology, the most ubiquitous among its competitors in the field, provides exactly that sort of differentiation.”

Learn about the key features and student benefits of a Bloomberg Terminal Lab at Gettysburg College from Cushing-Daniels and fellow finance co-chair, Management Prof. Patturaja Selvaraj.
