Center for Global Education

Diana Biesecker works as the Program Coordinator in the Center for Global Education at Gettysburg College. In addition to advising students on their global study plans, she coordinates the bilateral exchange programs between Gettysburg College and the Arctic University of Norway in Tromsø and the University of Stavanger, manages the CGE Instagram (follow us @globalgburg), educates on sustainability and climate action in the field of International Education, as well as facilitates programming for returned global study students.  

Prior to joining the CGE team in 2022, Diana made many memories as a student at Gettysburg College as well as abroad during her Junior year. She graduated in 2022 from Gettysburg College, where she earned a BA in Environmental Studies and double-minored in Studio Art and Anthropology. If you were to have a conversation with Diana about her time at Gettysburg, you would very quickly find out that she studied abroad in Greece for one semester with a program called College Year in Athens (CYA). She continued to share her memories and encourage fellow students to study abroad with CYA throughout her senior year of college as a CYA Student Ambassador as well as a Global Leader of Gettysburg College (GLGC). 

Diana has lived in Gettysburg, PA for the entirety of her life, where she has found a deep admiration of the local community and beauty of the Gettysburg College campus. However, her strong ties to the local community have not diminished her desire to experience new places and cultures. Diana gives thanks to Gettysburg College and the Center for Global Education for helping her uncover and deepen this passion, and she is excited to pay this experience forward in her own work with current students as she supports them in mapping out their own journey through Gettysburg and beyond.
