Advisor/Important notes:
This program has a broad course catalog and likely has any course that our students are looking for.
There are AUC-run buses that connect the campus in New Cairo with most of the major surrounding areas. Students do pay for these buses but they usually only cost about 2 dollars or so. Taxis are also very accessible, and it is very common practice to have a restaurant call you a taxi before you depart.
Campus used to be in Tahrir Square but is now located in New Cairo, which is about an hour outside of the city. The campus is absolutely gorgeous, newly constructed, incredibly secure (keycard access through the whole campus and the head of security used to work with the Egyptian army). The area is close to malls and has a lot of Western/American restaurants like Cinnabon and TGI Fridays within walking distance. The campus and areas within walking distance have basically everything that you would need, but most students tend to go into the major parts of Cairo perhaps once a week.
