Featured events policy

Communications & Marketing determines which events are featured on the College website.

The team uses criteria that include: appeal to a broad constituent base, connection to the College's strategic directions and key marketing messages, timeliness, intended audience, existing featured events, and website usage data.

Featured events are identified on a rolling basis. If you would like to have your event listed as a featured event, please:

  1. ensure that the event includes a complete event description on engageGettysburg, and
  2. notify us at news@gettysburg.edu (including the event URL in your email).

In addition, if you are interested in having Communications & Marketing send out a press release about your event, please contact us at the above address at least three weeks prior to your event with pertinent details (time, date, location, topic).
