Explore Residency and Fellowship Pathways

Teacher Residency and Teaching Fellowship programs offer immersive, hands-on ways to begin your journey as an educator. Whether you envision spending a year learning side-by-side with a mentor teacher or stepping directly into your own classroom with guided support, these programs are designed to prepare you to teach, lead, and make a difference from day one. Explore the opportunities below to find the path that matches your goals, values, and vision for the kind of teacher you want to become.

Teaching Residency Programs

Residency programs offer a combination of theory and practice, integrating a yearlong classroom apprenticeship with a sequence of master’s-level coursework. Residents receive a stipend during their training year and a subsidized master’s degree upon completion. Over the course of the year, they transition from a collaborative co-teaching role to a lead-teaching role under the guidance of a veteran educator.
