Voter Information for the November 2024 General Election
PA Voter Registration Requirements:
- To vote in the 2024 General Election in PA, you must first register to vote.
To register to vote in Pennsylvania, you must:
- Register at least 15 daysbefore the next election.
- Bea citizen of the United States for at least one month before the next primary, special, municipal, or general election.
- Be a resident of Pennsylvaniaand the election district in which you want to register and vote for at least 30 days before the next primary, special, municipal, or general election.
- Be at least 18 years oldon or before the day of the next primary, special, municipal, or general election.
- You must register to vote at the address where you actually live—your residential address. Owning property or a business in a county does not necessarily make you a resident of that county.
- ***PA college students may register to vote where they live while attending college OR at their prior home address, provided their family or guardian still reside there.
Important Dates & Deadlines (PA):
- October 21: Last day to REGISTER to vote in the November election

- Paper voter registration applications & envelopes are also available from Prof. Safarpour, Glatfelter Hall Room 313B.
- October 29: Last day to apply for a mail-in or civilian absentee ballot.
- November 5: Election day
- PA Polls are open 7 am – 8 pm
