Academic Focus
The development of olfactory perception
I came to Gettysburg College after doing post-doctoral work at the University of Geneva, Switzerland. Currently, I teach Psych 225 (Child Development), Psych 206 (Statistics and Research Methods II), and Psych 327 (a lab on cognitive and perceptual development). My research interests focus on the sense of olfaction as a window to cognition and emotion. I am interested in how the sense of smell develops from birth on and how it affects children's understanding of the world.
