Academic Focus

Social Development

I came to Gettysburg College with a fresh PhD from Kansas State University and years of teaching experience. I enjoy teaching and the faculty-student dynamic that is created at Gettysburg College. I currently teach Lifespan Development, Child Development, Social Psychology, and Introduction to Psychology as needed for the Psychology department. Beyond teaching, my research interests lie in understanding the correlates and predictors of relational aggression in childhood and adolescence and, more recently, exploring the factors related to and the developmental process experienced with Emerging Adulthood.
