Based on an actual news report of a runaway bride, Lorca's Blood Wedding is a story of all-consuming passion. On the morning of her wedding, confronted by her childhood sweetheart Leonardo, who married someone else, the Bride flees with him to the forest. The production uses Langston Hughes' poetic and beautiful translation of Lorca's masterpiece.
