Campus Community members may use this online form to submit officer compliments or complaints regarding Campus Safety personnel.
What happens after you submit this form:
Compliment:
All compliments are provided to the Campus Safety employee and their supervisor. Compliments are also entered into the Campus Safety employees personnel file.
COMPLAINT PROCESS INFORMATION
Complaint:
- Receipt Confirmation: You will receive confirmation that your complaint has been received within a few business days
- Assignment: The Executive Director will assign the investigation to a Campus Safety supervisor or administrator
- Investigation: Your complaint will be investigated in accordance with Policy 1.4 - Internal Affairs. All complaints are thoroughly and impartially investigated
- Timeline: Investigations are typically completed within 30 business days. You will be notified if additional time is needed
- Status Updates: You will receive periodic updates if the investigation extends beyond 30 days
- Results: You will be notified of the investigation's completion
Your Rights:
- You have the right to file a complaint without fear of retaliation
- You may bring a written statement to Campus Safety at a later time if preferred
- Paper, pen, or computer access will be provided if needed
- All complaint records are maintained securely and confidentially
