Campus Activities: I am the Social Chair of Zouave, one of the dance groups on campus, and I am also the VP of Finance for the Gettysburg chapter of the Women's Network, a national organization dedicated to creating a non-competitive space to network for students or recent graduates who are women and non-men.
Favorite Experience: One of my favorite experiences was getting to celebrate the birthday of my host mother's daughter-in-law towards the end of our time abroad. The whole family got together to have cake and champagne and we celebrated with the children and grandchildren of the woman that had been hosting and taking care of us for an entire semester, and all of the conversations were happening in French!
New/Exciting Course Abroad: I took a course called the European City Through Literature and the Visual Arts. As a Business Major I don't get to take many literature classes such as this one, and to be able to take a class focusing on different European cities while staying in one is an incredible experience. I learned a lot about the history and culture of many different places through classic literature and films and then got to walk through the historic streets of 'centre ville' on my way back to my homestay.
