What course/internship experience during your global study semester allowed you to learn something new and exciting
The conversational Spanish class j took in Spain was so helpful to learn slang and how Spanish is used in settings outside the classroom. It helped communicate better with my host parents who barely spoke English which allowed us to have a stronger bond!
How have your global studies related to one of the 7 Enduring Skills?
Studying abroad in Sevilla, Spain was one of the best experiences of my life. The time I spent there allowed me to grow so much both in and out of the classroom. My time abroad fostered growth of the enduring skill of communication as I lived with a host family in a city full of people who barely speak English. I took two Spanish classes while in Spain and learned so much about the culture of the city and its people. Living with a host family was the highlight of my time abroad and an unforgettable experience that has improved my cross cultural communication skills and made me so much more accepting of others!
