My favorite experience was my drawing and painting class. The art school was out in the country side and it was beautiful.
What course/internship experience during your global study semester allowed you to learn something new and exciting?
My Cezanne and Van Gogh art history class opened me up to not only art history, but the history of Aix-En-Provence. Paul Cezanne was a very important figure in Aix, and still has many influences there.
How have your global studies related to one of the 7 Enduring Skills?
Studying abroad in Aix-En-Provence, France truly transformed me as a person and a student. Immersing myself in a different culture was not easy at first, but I learned to adapt. When you are abroad, you have to do things you haven't always been comfortable with. For example, living in a homestay really tested how well I could adapt to this new environment. My adaptability and communication skills were increased by not only learning a new language but solving conflict with my host.
