Funding for First-Year Intellectual Life

The purpose of First-Year Intellectual Life funds is to support activities, events, and experiences focused on intellectual learning for first year students.

All requests for funding should be made by the faculty/department coordinating the activity, event, or experience using the on-line application below. Please be detailed with your budget. If you plan to use Gettysburg College Transportation, request an estimated cost from Transportation at transportation@gettysburg.edu for vehicles, drivers, fuel costs, and/or driver meals prior to submitting your application. These funds are often used for activities related to First-Year Seminars and the Burg Program, although they are not exclusively for those purposes.

Applications must be submitted and requests approved before starting the activity, event, or experience. Questions and concerns can be directed to Associate Provost for Academic Affairs, Jeanne Hamming at jhamming@gettysburg.edu

(Please note your form session will expire after 15 minutes.)

Open event wider? If your event is bringing a speaker to campus, will it be appropriate to invite other first-year seminars or open the event to the campus community?
