Exhibition details
Internationally-renowned, New York-based contemporary artist Michael Scoggins meticulously creates by hand spiral-bound notebook pages on a colossal scale. On these large works, Scoggins draws and scrawls often in the guise of his childhood alter-ego "Michael S." The artist appropriates popular imagery and takes a critical stance on contemporary politics, historical reflections and the formation of cultural identities and biases.
The exhibition is supported in part by EPACC, the Civil War Institute, and the 150th Committee for the Commemoration of the American Civil War, Gettysburg College.
