The Class of 2012 accomplished so much during their time on campus, and we expect them to "do great work" in their lives and careers beyond Gettysburg. Read on to find out more about what they were up to over the last four years.

Just the facts:

617 members of the Class of 2012

299 male and 318 female

They hail from 15 different countries, including Trinidad and Tobago, Nepal, and Zimbabwe

…and from 33 states, including California, Michigan, and Georgia

527 received bachelor of arts, 82 received bachelor of science, 5 received bachelor of music, and 3 received bachelor of science in music ed. degrees

22 grads received Summa Cum Laude honors, 67 received Magna Cum Laude honors, and 75 received Cum Laude honors

60 students were elected to Phi Beta Kappa membership

Career opportunities:

Students were hired at businesses and organizations that include the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Teach for America, AT&T, NBC Universal

More than 85 students are going to grad school at institutions that include Cornell, University of Pennsylvania, Emory, University of Massachusetts, and the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama

At least 315 students completed an internship, 94 an externship, and 87 job-shadowed

Approximately 175 students participated in career immersion trips to destinations that include Boston, New York, and Los Angeles

More than 275 alumni and parents connected with members of the Class of 2012 through networking and career opportunities

Grads abroad:

327 students studied in 32 countries

…and took more than 1,500 courses while practicing 18 foreign languages

Founded in 1832, Gettysburg College is a highly selective four-year residential college of liberal arts and sciences with a strong academic tradition. Alumni include Rhodes Scholars, a Nobel laureate, and other distinguished scholars. The college enrolls 2,600 undergraduate students and is located on a 200-acre campus adjacent to the Gettysburg National Military Park in Pennsylvania.
