Archaeological Investigations at Golemo Gradiste, Konjuh,   2014: A New Church

Abstract:  This was the 15th consecutive season of systematic excavation at the Late Antique urban site of Golemo Gradište, Konjuh, by the international team from Gettysburg College and now the new Archaeological Museum in Skopje.  Excavation continued in the lower city on the northern terrace, in  both the Northern Residence and the basilica complex, with interesting discoveries and at least one surprise.  At the end of the season we carried out a salvage excavation in a field on the other side of the acropolis and found a small, one-aisle cemetery church. Come and hear about the discoveries and the adventures of the Konjuh team!
