Equipment Rentals
Thank you for your interest in renting outdoor equipment from the Garthwait Leadership Center!
We offer equipment rentals at no cost to individual students throughout the year! We recognize that our gear is a great resource to increase accessibility to the outdoors, so our student Leadership Educators work to process as many requests as is in their capacity during the academic year.
To start the equipment rental process please:
- Complete the Rental Request Form. Please find the list of equipment that we rent at the bottom of this page.
- Fill out the form as your individual self, even if you’re going to be using the gear with a small group. Please make your request for equipment AT LEAST 72 HOURS prior to your desired pick up time (not the trip).
- Once your form is submitted, our staff will email you to confirm or suggest another pick-up meeting time.
- Retrieve the Equipment at your Pick-Up Meeting.
- Once you confirm a time, you will come pick up the gear at our Plank 118 office. You will sign a rental release form (you can view it here, but know you will sign a copy).
- Try to schedule a time to DROP OFF the rented equipment for after your trip.
- Go on your adventure!
- Return your Equipment at your Drop-Off Meeting.
- Within 48 hours (2 days) of your return to campus, you must return the gear by scheduling a meeting with a Leadership Educator in our Plank 118 Office.
