Accreditation

Gettysburg College is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. The re-accreditation process is centered on an institutional self-study leading up to a campus visit by Middle States external evaluators. The College’s last decennial self-study evaluation was in 2013-2014, which was concluded with an external evaluation team visit during the spring of 2014. Based on the institutional self-study and the external evaluation team report, the Commission (MSCHE) reaffirmed accreditation of Gettysburg College, and commends the College for the quality of the self-study process and report.

The self-study process is a chance to review progress and areas for improvement in all of the College’s operations—from academics to administrative practices, and is an opportunity to strengthen the College through a comprehensive evaluation.

The Next Self-Study Evaluation by MSCHE will be conducted in 2023-2024. The College is currently in the self-study process. Please click the tabs on the left to find out more.
