Gettysburg College provides transportation service to and from most local mass transit centers.
Requests In Advance
The Transportation Office requires that any requests for services be made as far ahead of time as possible. Requests MUST be made no less than 72 business hours before the trip. All transportation requests for Friday, Saturday, or Sunday must be made by Tuesday of that week.
Shuttle Service
The Transportation Office offers a regularly scheduled shuttle service. The cost for the shuttle service (per person, one way) to Harrisburg is, Baltimore, Shady Grove, Dulles or National Airport ranges from $25 to $35. The shuttle only operates when a trip has been scheduled.
If the regularly scheduled shuttle times do not meet your needs, you can schedule a separate shuttle but you will need to pay an additional charge which varies based on the destination.

Directions For Pickups
If you are being picked up by Gettysburg College Transportation, please follow these directions:
- Harrisburg International Airport - Meet outside the terminal.
- Baltimore-Washington Airport (BWI) - Meet outside Baggage Claim at the passenger pick up curb.
- Dulles International Airport - Exit the Terminal at Baggage Claim by going up the ramp to the outside passenger pick up curb to meet.
- Reagan National Airport - Meet outside Baggage Claim by your airline sign.
- Amtrak Train-Bus Station, Harrisburg - Meet outside the building in front of the main lobby.
You will be met by someone in a car or van that has a Gettysburg College sign. It is very important that you are actively looking for the Transportation Driver once you get to the meeting point. Do not leave the meeting point for any reason. If you have not met the driver within one half hour of your arrival time, please go to the nearest telephone and call the Transportation number listed below for instructions.
