Supporting teaching and mentoring at Gettysburg College

The JCCTL provides instructors with opportunities to hone pedagogical skills, explore collaborative and experiential learning techniques, and incorporate technological innovations. Central to the JCCTL’s mission is the belief that learning occurs within and beyond the classroom.

Our core beliefs JCCTL are that teaching and mentoring skill development ought to be based on available evidence whenever possible. We are aware and proud that many of the skills an individual may seek to acquire are already held by colleagues on campus. Part of the JCCTL’s role is to provide a platform where these experiences can be shared.

Teaching and Learning Online: Information on using Screencast-o-Matic, Zoom, OneDrive, and Ensemble Video are available in a Moodle site called “Teaching and Learning Online.” This site is open to anyone with a Moodle account – search for the course by name and you can access it without enrolling. JPI videos are also located there.

As of the Fall 2022 semester, all our applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Please contact us at with questions.

We announce JCCTL on the Staff, Admin, and Faculty Digests whenever appropriate. Other resources may be shared via the JCCTL mailer. For subscription, please email with the subject heading “please add me to JCCTL list serve”.
