A Prelude to our Strategic Planning Process – October 19, 2020

Dear Colleagues,

As we look ahead as a College, with an eye toward shaping our next strategic plan, it is essential that our community approach this work guided by a shared vision and set of institutional values, as well as a clear recognition and understanding of the opportunities—and challenges—before us.

Informed by this, Gettysburg College will be hosting the following virtual event: Living Our Promise: A Prelude to the Strategic Plan on Thursday, October 29.

At the event, I will speak to the framework for our strategic planning process. I will also share thoughts about where we stand as an institution and where we can go—and all we can achieve, together, building off our many strengths as an institution. The address will be followed by a College community discussion moderated by Darrien Davenport, Assistant Secretary to the Board of Trustees and Assistant Vice President of College Life.

Gettysburg College faculty, administrators, staff, and trustees, as well as members of our Boards, Councils, and Donor Societies are invited to attend. To provide flexibility for our community, the virtual event will be offered as two live Zoom sessions, at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. You will receive an email invitation with Zoom links next week.

I very much hope you will be able to participate in one of our two sessions. This is a pivotal moment for Gettysburg College—one that calls for our collective thinking, creativity, commitment, and ambition. I look forward to undertaking this important work with you.

Sincerely,

Bob
