Dear Colleagues,
What a wonderful past few days at the College! The rain almost held off and we were back to a “normal-ish” Commencement, albeit with our new change of days of the week.
The many Commencement activities, culminating in Saturday’s ceremony, reflected the very best of Gettysburg College. I heard from students, alumni, and families alike about how much they appreciated all that the College provided for them to enjoy. The last few days would not have been possible without the tireless efforts of so many of you working together on both the planning and implementation of these large-scale events. The strength of our community and our commitment to teamwork were evident. Many of you stepped forward visibly, while others worked with little fanfare behind the scenes, all to be sure these special events unfolded successfully. Thank you for your inspiring commitment to Gettysburg College! I greatly appreciate all that each of you did, and do every day, to support our students and to make this such a special place. Your efforts truly make all the difference.
I hope you find time for relaxation and rejuvenation this summer.
