Dear Colleagues,
Thank you for the countless ways you helped to make Get Acquainted Day a memorable experience for our accepted students and their families! Our Class of 2030 witnessed firsthand the energy and enthusiasm of our community and it was inspiring.
Throughout the day, our 327 accepted students in attendance—more than any GAD since 2023 (340)—felt the warmth, joy, and authenticity of this campus. From our packed opening presentation and Q&A in our newly renovated Ballroom to engaging academic presentations to our dynamic Expo, GAD showcased the very best of what Gettysburg College has to offer—and it made a tremendous impression.
Traditions like GAD do not happen without the collective effort of our entire community. I am especially grateful to our colleagues in Admissions, Athletics, and Financial Aid for bringing these talented students to our College and for the care they have shown them throughout every step of the admissions journey. I also want to thank the many faculty, staff, students, and alumni who ensured our attendees felt welcomed and at home here.
As we continue the essential work of enrolling the Class of 2030 in the weeks ahead, and retaining them over the summer months, I want to take this opportunity to celebrate all that you do to make Gettysburg such an exceptional place for our students to learn and grow. GAD is a perfect example of what makes our College so special!
With gratitude,
Bob Iuliano
President
