Dear Members of the Gettysburg College Community,
With summer now upon us, we hope you all are finding an opportunity to rest and recharge after a full academic year. While we are seeking to do the same, we’ve also been hard at work, together with the search advisory committee and our search consultants (Isaacson Miller), to advance the search for the College’s next provost.
We are enormously grateful for those of you who took the time to meet with the Isaacson, Miller team. In all, the search firm held six listening sessions that faculty, students, administrators, and staff attended. Together with the many survey results we’ve received, those sessions have helped shape our view about the skills and characteristics the College should be seeking in a successful candidate.
Informed by that feedback, we are excited to share with you the position profile for the search (attached). As we begin the next phase of the search process, we ask for your continued help in this important effort.
