    Intro and Theories Courses

    • WGS 120: Introduction to Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies
    • 1 theories course from WGS 300: Theories, WGS 310: Queer Theories, SOC 316: Theories - Social Transformation, or ES 335 Gender and Environment

    Practicum, Methods, and Senior Seminar

    • SYS 208: Gender & Sexuality, Practicum in Advocacy & Social Change
      WGS 320: Practicum counts for those who completed the Practicum prior to Fall 2026
    • WGS 340: Methods
    • WGS 400: Senior Seminar

    Four WGS Electives

    • 4 courses from the categories of core, cross-listed, affiliated courses, or approved courses of Individualized Study.
    • 1 of the 4 must be a core or cross-listed course above the 100-level that focuses in-depth on gender, sexuality, and/or the experiences of women, outside the United States, and Europe.
    • 1 of the 4 must be a core or cross-listed course above the 100-level that focuses in-depth on the experiences of historically marginalized women, or on the ways that gender intersects with other forms of inequality, or on LGBT or Queer scholarship.
    • No more that two of the elective courses may be from the category of affiliated courses.
