Italian Studies Minor

Six Italian courses are required for the minor.
Four Italian Language Core Courses
- Italian 101 Elementary Italian
- Italian 102 Elementary Italian
- Italian 201 Images of Italy I: Intermediate Italian
- Italian 202 Images of Italy II: Intermediate Italian
Two Advanced Italian Language Courses
- Two 300 or 400-level Italian language courses.
For students who place into ITAL 201, four advanced Italian Language courses are required.
Note:
- All students pursuing the Italian Studies minor must meet with the Italian program director to discuss a plan to attain the minor.
- Depending on a student’s level of study, one content course with an Italian Studies theme (e.g. literature, history, art, etc.) may at times count toward the minor with the program director’s approval.
- A maximum of two courses from a semester of global study may count toward the minor as approved by the Italian Program Director.
- Courses taken under the S/U grading option do not count toward the minor.
