Effective with the 2018 – 2019 academic year.
Anthro majors must earn a C- or better in Anth 103 and 106 (300 no longer has a grade requirement, effective w/Class of 2016)
Anthro minors, effective with the Class of 2021, must earn a C- or better in Anth 103 and 106. Also, no courses taken in the minor may be taken under the S/U grading option.
Bio majors must earn a C- or better in Bio 111 (or 110 or 113) and 112 (or 118)
Bio minors, Effective with the Class of 2015, must earn a C- or better in Bio 111 (or 110 or 113) and in Bio 112 (or 118).
CS majors, to advance to a course with a prerequisite, a minimum grade of C- is required for each prerequisite course
GS majors, effective for the Class of 2014 and after, must earn a C- or higher in Pol 103 or 104, Econ 101 or 104, Anth 103 and Hist 110. Must also earn a C- or better in course taken to fulfill the Methods requirement and Capstone requirement in the major.
GS majors, effective with the Class of 2018 and after, must earn a C- or better in GS 225.
HS BS majors, 2013 through graduates 2022, must earn a B- or high in HS 209 and 210, courses may only be taken once. HS BS majors graduating in 2023 and after do not have these grading requirements.
HS BA majors, 2016 through graduates 2022, must earn a C- or higher in HS 209 and 210, courses may only be taken once. Student who do not meet the grade requirement may petition the department to repeat the course. HS BA major graduation in 2023 and after do not have these grade requirements.
Math, to advance to a course with a prerequisite a minimum grade of C- is required for each prerequisite course. (This applies to all students, not just Math majors/minors.)
Music majors must earn a C or better in Music 141, 142, 241
OMS majors must earn a C or better in OMS 235, course may only be taken once. Students who do not meet the grade requirement may petition the department to repeat the course.
Political Science majors must earn a C or better in POL 215.
Psych majors must earn a C in Psych 205, may only be taken once. Students who do not meet the grade requirement may petition the department to repeat the course.
Soc majors must earn a C or better in Soc 101 or 102 or 103 and 296 (previously 306). Soc 296 may only be taken once. Students who do not meet the grade requirement may petition the department to repeat the course.
Soc minors must earn a C or better in Soc 101 or 102 or 103.
The following minors do not permit S/U graded courses to fulfill minor requirements:
