One Billion Rising is a global campaign to end violence against women, rise for justice, and promote gender equality. The “billion” refers to the UN statistic that one in three women will be raped or beaten in their lifetime, or about one billion women. Every year, we rise to mobilize in solidarity against all forms of violence in our community. Everyone is welcome to this empowering event of intersectional feminist advocacy activities sponsored by the Women’s Center. Co-sponsored with the Office of Sexual Respect and Title IX.

Graphic for Our Voices are Vibrant production
The Gettysburg College Women’s Center is proud to announce our official transition away from the long-standing annual production of Eve Ensler’s Vagina Monologues to make way for the Our Voices are VIBRANT 2020 show. For this year’s show, the Women’s Center hopes to create a platform that elevates and celebrates the valuable voices of Gettysburg College students who have their own stories to tell, highlighting a diversity of perspectives from students who identify as women/womxn, femme, gender-fluid, LGBTQIA+, and/or non-binary. Our Voices are VIBRANT 2020 will feature all original pieces about significant gender-related experiences, stories, and reflections all written and performed by REAL Gettysburg students.
