COVID-19 behavior rubrics

Message sent on August 12, 2020

Ron Wiafe, Director of Student Rights and Responsibilities, and Jon Allen, Director of Student Activities and Greek Life, inform students about the behavioral expectations of individuals and student organizations on campus during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dear Gettysburg Student,

In a letter to students and parents on July 20, President Iuliano conveyed, “the effectiveness of our structural changes will depend on all of us accepting the responsibility that comes with adopting a set of behavior changes designed to enhance community health.” Students have reviewed and signed a Student Health Agreement that outlines the essential expectations around COVID-19.

In addition to the Student Health Agreement, the College has implemented a COVID-19 Behavior Rubric and a COVID-19 Student Organization Behavior Rubric. These rubrics will be utilized to hold students and organizations accountable if they demonstrate behavior that is inconsistent with the Student Health Agreement. Please familiarize yourself with the rubrics as soon as possible.

If you have questions about the COVID-19 Behavior Rubric, please contact the Office of Students Rights and Responsibilities at 717-337-6907. If you have question about the COVID-19 Student Organization Behavior Rubric, please contact the Office of Student Activities and Greek Life at 717-337-6304.

Thank you for reviewing this email.

Sincerely,

Ron Wiafe, Director of Student Rights and Responsibilities

Jon Allen, Director of Student Activities and Greek Life
