Jim Duffy, Associate Dean of College Life, informs the campus community that COVID-19 test results may be delayed.
At the conclusion of each testing day, all tests are transported via FedEx by air to a lab in Memphis, TN. Recent ice storms and associated winter weather closed the FedEx Hub yesterday and the Tuesday tests were delivered via car service rather than by air. This resulted in an 8 hour delay in the delivery of Tuesday tests to the lab. Therefore, test results may be delayed. For those testing today, the tests will again be transported via car service. Like the Tuesday tests results, today’s test results may be slightly delayed.
