Wednesday, September 1: Vaccination clinic on campus

Message sent on August 30, 2021

Jennifer Lucas, Executive Director of the Human Resources Office, informs employees of a vaccination clinic on campus on Wednesday, September 1. Qualifying students also received a similar announcement from College Life.

Dear Colleagues,

WellSpan Health will offer the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine (first dose) on campus for students and employees on Wednesday, September 1, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. in the College Union Building.

Employees can sign up for their COVID-19 vaccine using this link. Registration will be open until 9 a.m. on Tuesday, August 31. WellSpan will return to campus on Wednesday, September 22—three weeks later—for the second dose.

Students and employees who have appointments to receive their COVID-19 vaccine on campus should bring a photo ID and their medical insurance card if they have one.

As a gentle reminder, on Monday, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine; therefore, it is no longer under emergency authorization. This is a critical milestone as we continue to battle the virus.

As a College employee, if you receive your vaccine on campus or elsewhere, we ask that you please share your proof of vaccination with the Human Resources Office as soon as possible. You may send it to vaccine@gettysburg.edu or present your card in person at the HR Office located on the ground floor of Pennsylvania Hall. You will not be required to participate in surveillance testing on campus if you show proof of full vaccination.

We are thankful to partner with WellSpan Health and offer our community the COVID-19 vaccine. As always, thank you for all you do!

Sincerely,

Jen Lucas
Executive Director, Human Resources Office
