Paxton Hall provides housing for upperclass students It is located on the northeast side of campus and is a short walk to most academic buildings.
Formerly a motel, there are 16 rooms on the first level and 16 rooms on the second level of Paxton Hall; two Residence Life student staff members (a Residence Coordinator and a Community Advisor) live in Paxton Hall; one in the only apartment which is located on the second level, the other on the first level. Paxton houses 64 upperclass students with two students in each suite except room 33, which houses three students.
Each room in Paxton Hall has dedicated heating and air conditioning and tiled floors. Each room contains one bathroom that accommodates one person at a time, therefore each bathoom is gender-neutral. Each room also has at least one window with blinds, a bookshelf, and mirror (attached to the dresser).
Each student is provided with an extra-long (38 inches x 80 inches x 6 1/2 inches), bunkable bed; a desk and chair; a dresser and closet space. Students may contact Facilities Services at 717-337-6700 to request the additional pieces necessary to bunk their bed. There is approximately 15 inches between the floor and the bottom of the bed. To gain additional storage space below the bed, students may use bed risers, which are available for purchase at the College Bookstore.
