Haaland Hall is part of the quarry suites complex, one of 11 apartment-style residence halls for upperclass students, is located on the northwest side of campus. The complex consists of four buildings, Hazlett Hall, Haaland Hall, West Hall, and Corkran Hall.
Haaland Hall is named after the College's twelfth president, Gordan Haaland (1990-2004).
Each apartment in Haaland Hall has a kitchenette (includes a full-size refrigerator, sink, microwave and cabinet space for storage) which is not equipped with dinnerware and cookware. There are three stools around the end of the kitchen counter-top for a dining area. A common kitchen with a stove and oven is located on the first floor of the building.
Each apartment has its own bathroom which includes a separate shower area, a toilet area with a sink and mirror and a third area with a larger vanity and mirror. The bathroom accommodates one person at a time, therefore each bathroom is gender-neutral.
Each bedroom has carpeting and built-in closet space, a desk, a dresser, and an extra-long bed (38 inches x 80 inches x 6 1/2 inches) for each resident. Students may loft or bunk their beds by acquiring the additional pieces necessary to do so. These pieces will be available in your building lobby during the first several weeks of the fall semester. There is approximately 15 inches between the floor and the bottom of the bed. To gain additional storage space below the bed, students may use bed risers, which are available for purchase at the College Bookstore. The bedrooms each have one window with a blind.
The living room is carpeted and the furniture generally consists of a 3-person sofa, one chair, a coffee table and an end table. Each living room also has one window with a blind.
