Robert Garnett teaches courses in both British and American literature, from the eighth-century monk Bede to Flannery O’Connor. He has published a study of the early career of the British novelist Evelyn Waugh (From Grimes to Brideshead, Bucknell University Press), many scholarly articles on Charles Dickens, and most recently Charles Dickens in Love (Pegasus Books).
