Gettysburg College to host Family Weekend Oct. 23-25

Gettysburg College will welcome hundreds of parents, family members, and friends Oct. 23-25 for Family Weekend festivities designed around the theme of "Service and Sustainability."

The celebratory weekend will feature a host of events available to both families and students, including the Jazz Ensemble and Camerata "Autumn Leaves" concert, college courses for family members, and public service and sustainability awareness opportunities.

Art Exhibit, "Edward S. Curtis: Photogravures from The North American Indian," Oct. 23 to 24, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Schmucker Art Gallery

"The Imaginary Invalid," a comedy by Moliere, Oct. 23 and 24 at 8 p.m., Oct. 25 at 2 p.m., Kline Theatre in Brua Hall

Gettysburg College is a highly selective four-year residential college of liberal arts and sciences. With a student body of approximately 2,500, it is located on a 200-acre campus adjacent to the Gettysburg National Military Park in Pennsylvania. The college was founded in 1832.
