The field hockey team’s final victory of the 2012 season over Johns Hopkins left Gettysburg head coach Barb Jordan tied with Carol Cantele ’83 for the title of all-time winningest coach in Bullets field hockey history. A season-opening 6-0 victory over Eastern Mennonite University clinched the record for Jordan this past August.
The record-breaking win marked victory number 122 at Gettysburg for Jordan, who finished the 2013 season with a career record of 131-89. Cantele was 121-70-1 from 1992-2001. Cantele is in her twenty-second season as head coach of women’s lacrosse, with Jordan as assistant coach.
One of just four field hockey coaches at Gettysburg to reach 100 career wins, Jordan guided the Bullets to a berth in the Centennial Conference playoffs nine times and an ECAC Division III championship in 2005.
