Since becoming a member of Division III in 1974, the Bullets have made a significant impact on the field, in the classroom, and in the community.
Gettysburg has made regular appearances in the NCAA Division III Championships, with the women's lacrosse team capturing the national title in 2011, while 277 Bullets have been honored as Division III All-Americans. Gettysburg student-athletes have also garnered 30 Academic All-America awards as a Division III member while receiving 10 prestigious NCAA Postgraduate Scholarships.

Founded in 1832, Gettysburg College is a highly selective four-year residential college of liberal arts and sciences with a strong academic tradition that includes Rhodes Scholars, a Nobel laureate and other distinguished scholars among its alumni.
