Installation of a new skylight atop the Musselman Library tower had the highest visibility of several renovation projects on campus this summer.
At McCreary Hall, a $3-million project includes upgrades to a bio class lab and some faculty research spaces, plus new mechanical systems and windows.
The Dining Center received new windows, ventilation equipment, and roof repairs.
At Plank Gym, academic office space was created in preparation for future overall redevelopment. (Classroom space was developed last summer.)
The West Building was renovated to accommodate Information Technology, which moved from then library and Plank. Some Facilities functions moved from West to the Central Energy Plant.
The CUB Ballroom and Musselman Stadium home locker room received upgrades.
Founded in 1832, Gettysburg College is a highly selective four-year residential college of liberal arts and sciences with a strong academic tradition. Alumni include Rhodes Scholars, a Nobel laureate, and other distinguished scholars. The college enrolls 2,600 undergraduate students and is located on a 200-acre campus adjacent to the Gettysburg National Military Park in Pennsylvania.
